California Taxpayer 1996 Voter's Guide "We Proudly Recommend..." with added commentary by the Voice of DeepWaterWeb highlighted in Red

State Senate

Bruce McPherson

X

Endorsed by Crime Victims United

Defender of the 2nd Amendment!

Unappreciated by Ron Lowenbrau, President of the California Police Chiefs Association... all the more reason to vote Bruce.

Running against Rusty the infamous sleaze.

State Assembly

Peter Frusetta

X

Authored the toughest anti-gang legislation in the nation.

Criticized by opponent Lily Cervantes because she thinks that guns kill people by themselves and has not a clue about the 2nd Amendment. Also because he used office redecorating money on mass mailings to ignorant folk like you and me who have since been flooded by obnoxious propaganda from Lily for her "being considered".

Superior Court Judge

Edward F. Lee

X

A heck of a fine American!
204-206

NO

MORE DEBT - San NO to these three measures that will increase our bonded indebtedness by more than$2 billion--a debt our children must repay. No, No, No!
207

NO

LEGAL "REFORM"-Sponsored by the slip-and-fall lawyers' lobby, this measure offers no truly new protections, it actually encourages frivolous lawsuits and could end up costing taxpayers plenty. Stop the rip-off. Vote NO on 207.
208 & 212

NO

RESTRICT CITIZEN PARTICIPATION-Severely damages the democratic process. Limits your right to support your chosen candidate. Vote NO.
209

YES!

END QUOTAS-The American Dream is not about hiring quotas and race based college admissions policies. It's time government started playing fair. Vote YES.

Anyone that cannot read well enough to understand the simple 32 words or so of this bill such that they would suggest that "it goes too far" needs more to help their ailing brain than preferred status in college admissions!

210

NO!

WAGE FIXING-Another Democrat sponsored measure that drives jobs out of California. Save small business. Vote NO.

Why don't we just raise the minimum wage to $20 an hour... eventually everyone else's wages will be adjusted, the money will become less valuable (a box of cereal might cost $17.99), but we'll all be in a new higher tax bracket! Oh boy... Don't worry about the fixed income seniors that don't get their corresponding wage (and tax) hike by legislation! Naturally now that everything is so much more expensive, we'll here the battle cry from the Demonuts again "nobody can live on just $20 an hour" and the process repeats itself.

Legislating pay scales is voodoo funny money magic that doesn't add up!

211

NO!

FRIVOLOUS LAWSUITS-Will allow frivolous lawsuits outlawed in federal court to be filed against California companies-causing many to leave the state. Prop 211 clogs courts and costs millions in new taxes. Stop the rip-off. Join CA Taxpayers Association, Bob Dole, Dan Lungren and many senior groups in opposing 211.
213

YES/NO

UNINSURED MOTORIST AND DRUNK DRIVERS, INSURANCE REFORM-People who break the law should not be rewarded. People who play by the rules should not pay for lawbreakers. Prop 213 is supported by Insurance Commissioner Chuck Quackenbush and Mothers against Drunk Driving. Vote YES.

*I am very very very disappointed to have to recommend a NO vote here. Everything about this bill is great-that is except for the little pet the insurance industry rolled in about "uninsured motorists" suddenly having no legal consideration... More here

214 & 216

NO!

HEALTH CARE COSTS-These measures mean skyrocketing health premiums, mandate huge new bureaucracies, cost jobs and require $100s of millions in new costs to taxpayers. 214 and 216 will not improve quality, are not real reform and will benefit only their sponsors. Vote NO on 214 & 216. They're phony.

More of this alarming trend of union brain dead workers trying to legislate themselves more cushy work environment at the expense of competition. "HEALTH CARE NOT PROFITS" are the kinds of inane chants you might hear from these misfits. Definitely NO on these garbage bills that try to do for our state what Capitol Hillary tried to do for the whole USA! By the way, Dole might of saved someone's life in the line of duty-but that pales in comparison to the heroism in playing the instrumental role he did in saving us from Hillary's fine government run health system!

215

NO*

Smokin' Pot is good and fine. Unless we decide to go Libertarian and legalize all drugs, I am a little skeptical about a plan to give all the A.I.D.S. society people a big ol' doob to enjoy while they are already cashing in on our social security money that they get to use at the ripe old age of 30 or so.

*All ears to hear your thoughts on this one.

217

NO!

THE SOAK ANYONE MAKING MORE MONEY THAN ME INITIATIVE--A Real piece of garbage! This is the perfect example of the danger shopping spree voting. "Hmm, I want this, that, and oh, that would be nice-after all, it's for the schools! Yes, and we'll have those people pay for it... they don't need all that money anyway!"

By the way... The Voice of DeepWaterWeb doesn't make near enough to be victimized by this bill. I'm just not a criminal, and that is why I am voting NO!

218

YES!

VOTER APPROVAL OF ALL NEW TAXES-A timely measure that will give us final approval over new taxes and new tax districts. Vote YES.
Ellen Taucher

PLEASE NO!

Described in her high budget flood of propaganda as a "business woman", she's actually a 2nd rate day care operator that has every interest in expanding the role of government in the raising of our children. She defines her opponent Bill Baker as a pro gun extremist even though Baker actually voted yes to the piece of garbage Brady Bill.

Like her comrade Pelosi, another intellectually deficient "Breast cancer research not B1-Bombers!" drum beater.

Nancy Pelosi

Congressperson

SAY GOODBYE!

This major embarrassment to the state of California has been a runner up for Senator Barbara Boxer's "most shrill and intellectually deficient" award. Her own paid infomercial seen on major stations speaks for itself with her charges that the Republicans are "too lazy" to work on improving the fine social programs put in place by the Democrats. Also she another voice of "we need more women in office-preferably Democrats". Does she have any idea how moronic (and discriminatory) this sounds to anyone with more than a few active brain cells?

If I have not considered something... please be sure to email me! I would not wish to make the wrong decision come Election Day! Oh, and I guess it's obvious--Don't forget to Vote for Dole!
